An efficiency up to 4 times greater than a gas boiler
Eligible for a £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant
Air source heat pumps (ASHPs) are an innovative and energy-efficient solution for heating and cooling your home. By extracting heat from the outside air, even in colder climates, these systems provide a reliable source of warmth throughout the year. Operating much like a reverse refrigerator, an ASHP uses a refrigerant cycle to absorb ambient heat and then elevates it to a higher temperature, making it suitable for indoor comfort.
One of the standout benefits of ASHPs is their eco-friendly qualities. Compared to traditional heating systems like gas or oil boilers, ASHPs have lower operational costs and a significantly reduced carbon footprint. This makes them an ideal choice for those committed to sustainable living without compromising on comfort. Our team is dedicated to helping you understand the full capabilities of ASHPs and how they can be integrated into your home.

Choosing the right heating system for your home is crucial, and ASHPs are a particularly great choice for well-insulated homes. Due to their lower flow temperature compared to traditional gas or oil boilers, ASHPs are most effective in buildings that already have good insulation, making them an ideal option for new builds or homes that have been recently updated with energy-efficient measures.
For existing homes, we offer a comprehensive assessment to determine if an ASHP is the right fit. This process includes a detailed survey where we produce a heat loss report. The report helps us evaluate your home’s insulation and heating requirements to ensure the ASHP will perform optimally. If we find that your home’s current insulation is inadequate, we can recommend necessary upgrades to ensure your new heat pump will operate efficiently and effectively.
This tailored approach means you can rest assured that your heating system will be optimised to provide comfort, efficiency and cost savings. Whether you’re building a new home or upgrading an existing one, our experts will guide you every step of the way.
Our involvement tends to start very early, and the earlier the better.
Our approach is consultative lead, so we enjoy understanding the client’s build, what they are trying to achieve, and what their priorities are. This enables us to present different options, helping the client understand the pros and cons and costs of each, as well as their implications on the rest of the build.
Our aim is to always put the client in the position where they are making a fully informed decision that is right for them.
The UK government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) offers a £7,500 grant towards the installation of an air source heat pump. As part of our service, we handle the application process on your behalf, ensuring that the grant is applied directly to your installation costs. This significant financial incentive can make the switch to an ASHP even more attractive.
To qualify for the grant, your home needs to meet certain criteria, such as having filled cavity walls (where applicable) and sufficient loft insulation. Our team will assess your property to ensure it meets these requirements, guiding you through any necessary steps to make your home eligible.
