Due to their lower flow temperature compared to traditional gas or oil boilers, ASHPs are most effective in buildings that already have good insulation, making them an ideal option for new builds or homes that have been recently updated with energy-efficient measures.
For existing homes, we offer a comprehensive assessment to determine if an ASHP is the right fit. This process includes a detailed survey where we produce a heat loss report. The UK government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) offers a £7,500 grant towards the installation of an air source heat pump. As part of our service, we handle the application process on your behalf, ensuring that the grant is applied directly to your installation costs. This significant financial incentive can make the switch to an ASHP even more attractive.
To qualify for the grant, your home needs to meet certain criteria, such as having filled cavity walls (where applicable) and sufficient loft insulation. Our team will assess your property to ensure it meets these requirements, guiding you through any necessary steps to make your home eligible.
